USP Lewisburg, September 18, 2012USP Lewisburg, September 18, 2012 At 11:23 a.m., staff responded to I Block for a cell fight involving two inmates. The inmates were restrained and separated by responding staff. At 6:20 p.m., staff responded to G Block for an inmate assault on staff. While searching an inmate after coming out of the cell, the staff member felt a suspicious object. The officer took the inmate to the shower area to perform a visual search. The inmate produced a 6 3/8 inch sharpened metal homemade knife out of his rectum. After making a few threatening remarks to the Officer, the inmate threw the weapon at the Officer, striking him in the hand. The officer suffered a minor laceration. He was treated and returned to work. |
