Inmate Threatened To Sodomize Officer's DaughterInmate Threatened To Sodomize Officer's Daughter A man was sentenced to more than 4 years in federal prison Monday for threatening to assault a correctional officer and sodomize his daughter. Richard Soto, 33, of Corpus Christi was originally convicted on federal weapons charges in 2002 and sent to prison. He was re-arrested in July of 2011 for breaking into a car and sentenced to an additional year in prison. Four months later, while at the Coastal Bend Detention Center near Robstown, federal officials say he threatened to assault and sodomize both a corrections officer and that officer's daughter. Soto had apparently seen the officer and his daughter together before he was arrested for the auto burglary. Along with those threats, federal prosecutors said in court that Soto made references to having a gun and told the officer that he wouldn't always be locked up. A jury convicted him on all charges. U.S. District Judge Nelva Gonzales Ramos then sentenced him to 52 months in federal prison, followed by 3 years of supervised release.
