The Southeast Region is a part of the most organized union council within the AFGE Federation representing more than twenty-thousand union members. The region collectively consists of Locals in Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Puerto Rico. Eric is just one of many experienced and competent leaders within the organization. First elected in 2007, and most recently again in 2011 by acclamation vote, RVP Young brings to the table more than 17 years of AFGE membership and experience. As the national regional vice president for the American Federation of Government Employees’ Council of Prison Locals, he encompasses a strong sense of unionism with an unflagging dedication to the Federation. Eric is one of many leaders in the region who is dedicated to serving the needs of the membership thru legislative action and in the labor management relations realm. |
